WebCT PowerLink for Palm Datebook

Integrate your Palm Datebook with the WebCT PowerLink for Palm Datebook, which allows you to download calendar entries from your WebCT account and store them in your Palm Datebook.

Once you have downloaded and set up the WebCT PowerLink for Palm Datebook, each time you run the Palm HotSync operation, the WebCT PowerLink will check to see if you are connected to the Internet. If you are, the WebCT PowerLink will retrieve any new Calendar entries from your WebCT account and download them to your Datebook.

Note:
  • WebCT PowerLink for Palm Datebook works with WebCT Standard Edition 3.6 and WebCT Campus Edition 3.6, 3.7, 3.8, 4.0 and 4.1.
  • WebCT PowerLink for Palm Datebook is available for Windows users only.
  • WebCT PowerLink for Palm Datebook will not connect to servers that use the SSL (HTTPS) protocol.
  • You must install the Palm Desktop software before installing the WebCT PowerLink for Palm Datebook


To set up LinkWebCT:

  1. Download the zip file to your computer, and unzip the file.
  2. Run the setup.exe file. The setup.exe file will install the conduit on your computer, and will add the "LinkWebCT.prc" file to the Install application on your Palm. Note: When you are prompted to select the Palm user the application will be installed for, ensure you highlight your username before clicking Continue.
  3. Exit and then restart your HotSync Manager for the changes to take effect.
  4. HotSync your Palm to install the LinkWebCT.prc file. The LinkWebCT icon appears on your Palm Home screen.
  5. From your Palm, click the LinkWebCT icon. The LinkWebCT settings screen appears.
  6. Enter your user information, and click Save. LinkWebCT is set up. Note: For help on setting up your user information, from the Calendar online help, click Download Calendar entries to your Palm Datebook.


Download LinkWebCT:

Once you have set up the WebCT PowerLink for Palm Datebook, you can download any new or modified Calendar entries simply by connecting to the Internet and running your HotSync operation.
