Browser Tune-Up for Campus Edition and Vista

Before using Blackboard Learning System Campus Edition or Vista (formerly "WebCT,") make sure that you are using a supported browser and that your browser settings are correct.

  1. Check Your Browser in Blackboard
    In many versions of Blackboard, you can check your browser to ensure that it is configured correctly.
    1. Go to the website where you log into Blackboard.
    2. Before and after logging in, look for a Check Browser link, in the top right corner of the browser window.
    3. Click the Check Browser link to start the Browser Checker.

  2. Tune-up Your Browser Online
    Start the online Browser Tune-up if you are having trouble using Blackboard, and:
    • you have already checked your browser in Blackboard, or
    • you cannot use the Browser Checker in Blackboard.

  3. Read Browser Tips and Troubleshooting
    If you are still having trouble using Blackboard, read the Browser Tips and Troubleshooting page. There may be a problem with your browser or other software on your computer.
